Help us improve life for people with Bruck Syndrome.
Last Updated: 16 October 2026
Bruck Syndrome (Registered Charity No. 1216729) is committed to making our website https://www.brucksyndrome.org and all of our health and care information accessible, inclusive, and easy to understand for everyone—regardless of technology, disability, neurodivergence, or literacy level.
Plain English & Health Literacy: We write our general family guides to a target reading age of 9–11 years, use clear headings, bullet points, and "Key Takeaways" summary boxes, and explain all medical terms in plain English alongside a "Words to Know" Glossary.
Visual & Screen-Reader Accessibility (WCAG Compliance): Our website and PDF guides use clear sans-serif fonts (12pt minimum; 14pt+ large-print options), high colour contrast (WCAG AA/AAA), keyboard navigation, semantic headings for screen readers, and descriptive Alt Text on all images and genetic diagrams. You can zoom text up to 200%+ without losing page structure.
Video & Webinar Accessibility: All of our recorded webinars and videos include closed subtitles/captions and full written transcripts.
Offline, Print & Telephone Alternatives (Digital Inclusion): You do not need fast broadband or advanced digital skills to access our support. Every key guide can be downloaded as an A4 printer-friendly PDF, and we are happy to post free paper copies or talk through information over our telephone Helpline.
Translations & Alternative Formats: If you need our core family guides in another language, Large Print, or Easy Read format, please email info@brucksyndrome.org. (Please note: if you use an automated browser translation tool on our website, machine translations may not always be 100% clinically accurate).
